Wire tensioning device can be used with 9 or 12.5 gauge wire. Tension should be let off after the season. Vertical slats should be installed around trees that the wire fastens to. When the slats deteriorate, replace them in a different location on the tree or move them to another tree. All galvanized steel construction. Wire tensioning device has a spring to hold the latch flipper tight against the cog spool, which makes tightening the wire safer.
